FUNCTION : General Public Service

MANDATE:

The Municipal Engineering Office has functions of administering, coordinating, supervising and controlling the construction, maintenance, improvement and repair of roads, bridges and other engineering and public works project of the Local Government Unit concerned.

VISION:

Initiate, review plans and programs, techniques, procedure and practices in infrastructure development and public works in general.

MISSION:

• Effective implementation of the National Building Code of the Philippines and its implementing Rules and Regulations.

• To implement projects, quality control and proper engineering and construction supervision.

FUNCTIONAL STATEMENTS:

• Initiate review and recommend changed in policies and objectives, plans and programs, techniques, procedures and practices in the infrastructure development and public works in general of the LGU concerned;

• Advise the mayor of infrastructure, public works and other engineering matters;

• Administer, coordinate, supervise, and control the construction, maintenance, improvement, and repair of road bridges and other engineering public works projects of the municipality;

• Provide engineering services to the Municipality concerned, including investigation and survey, engineering designs, feasibility studies, and project management;

• Exercise such other powers and perform such other duties and functions as may be prescribed by law and ordinance.
